Us Aussies are proud of all the crazy (and often very dangerous) creatures that we have in Australia. These little fellas (or sheilas) have adapted extremely well to their surroundings, haven't they.

Evelyn Tambour replied:

thank you, dear sean! only now i realize that you're an aussie!! (aha... i did not read your 'about' section ;-) and yes, you're so right: their adaptation is truly masterful! all the best to you

I had to look this one up myself: The thorny devil or thorny dragon is an Australian lizard, also known as the mountain devil, the thorny lizard, or the moloch. This is the sole species of genus Moloch. The thorny dragon grows up to 20 cm in length, and can live for 15 to 20 years. ~Wikipedia

Evelyn Tambour replied:

dear jeff, your research and comment are greatly appreciated! thank you very much! :))
